Air New Zealand
Since its first flight in 1940, Air New Zealand now flies directly to 18 countries and more than 50 cities including New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Asia, Europe, North and South America. The airline has been a member of the Star Alliance since 1999.
As one of the most awarded airlines, Air New Zealand was awarded the Airline of the Year for four consecutive years by AirlineRatings.com in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. For the fifth time in Skytrax awards history, Air New Zealand took the top position for World’s Best Premium Economy Class, as well as securing the award for Best Premium Economy Seat.
Air New Zealand operates the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner daily between Singapore and Auckland. The Dreamliner is renowned for its enhanced passenger comfort because of the lower cabin altitude and higher humidity as well as the enhanced sense of space created by the large windows. The Dreamliner is equipped with state-of-the-art onboard technology and inflight product including the award-winning, innovative Economy SkycouchTM, as well as spacious Premium Economy and lie-flat Business Premier seating.
Air New Zealand's alliance with Singapore Airlines provides access up to four flights a day between Singapore and New Zealand, seven days a week. Three non-stop flights a day depart Singapore to New Zealand (Auckland and Christchurch) and four times a week to Wellington, connecting to over 20 domestic destinations in New Zealand, the frequent flyer program has partnership mileage agreements with other oneworld alliance members, Asiana Airlines, GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes S.A, MEA, Royal Air Maroc and tie-ups with international hotel and car rental companies for members to avail fantastic offers.
Frequent Flyer Programme
Air New Zealand has the Airpoints programme where members earn Airpoints dollars which can be spent on flights, hotels, rental cars and other things to make travel more enjoyable. In addition, Air New Zealand is part of the Star Alliance network and passengers with any Star Alliance airline membership can earn miles or points on qualifying fares. These miles or points can be redeemed across any Star Alliance member airline, including Air New Zealand.
Baggage
For travel from Singapore to New Zealand, the airline standard baggage allowance is 2 pieces of a maximum weight of 23 kg each for Premium Economy and Economy Class, and 3 pieces for Business Premier.
