Cathay Pacific
Cathay Pacific (CX) is the national flag carrier of Hong Kong and has its hub located at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). The airline offers scheduled passenger and cargo services to 168 destinations in 42 countries and territories on five continents. Founded on 24th September 1946, the carrier now has a well-developed Asian network. Cathay now holds the title, World’s third largest airline in terms of market capitalization. Currently Cathay’s fleet includes 111 wide-bodied jets which include Airbus A330, A340, A350 and Boeing 747,777.
Travel Classes
Cathay’s different classes of travel include, First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class. These cabin classes provide the finest environment available, complemented with world class services. In-flight entertainment program,’ Entertainment Plus’ offers passengers on-board, full access to personal television, TV shows, music , radio channels, games, etc. The award-winning ‘StudioCX entertainment system’ with Audio and Video on Demand is available in the economy class cabin. Frequent Flyer Program
‘Marco Polo’ and ‘Asia Miles’ are the airline’s two loyalty programs. ‘Marco Polo’ offers, Green, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diamond Plus as its different tiers of membership.
Baggage
For all classes, each passenger (except an infant) can bring a free baggage allowance of one cabin bag not exceeding 56x36x23cm (22x14x9 in) in size. The weight should not exceed 15kg in First Class, 10kg in Business and 7kg in Economy class.

Awards
In 2011 Skytrax Awards, Cathay Pacific was named the ‘Best Airline Transpacific’ and the ‘Best First Class Seat’. In the same year it won the Hong Kong’s ‘Environment Excellence gold award for Transport and Logistics’.
