Philippine Airlines (PR) abbreviated as PAL is the national airline of the Philippines. It is the first and the oldest airline operating in Asia under its original name. Out of its major hubs, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) and Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB), PAL offers flights to 29 domestic and 31 international destinations in Asia, Oceania and North America. Mahubay Class (Business) and Fiesta Class (Economy) are the airlines different classes of travel. Mahubay Class offer increased legroom, advanced seat ergonomics and personal screens. ‘Flights of Fancy’, the airline’s in-flight entertainment program offers ultimate listening, reading and viewing pleasure in the air. Economy class offers AVOD and each seat is equipped with 9-inch (230 mm) monitors, mounted either on the seatbacks or armrests (for bulkhead and exit row seats). ‘Econolight’, is the airline’s no-frills economy class product available on domestic and selected regional routes. In 2013, PAL introduced Wi-Fi onboard, named ‘Philippine Airlines in Air’, allow the passengers to make calls, send and receive text messages, tweets, email and internet surfing while flying.

The carrier follows a new range of ‘Fare Families’ or ‘Branded Fares’, where distinct free baggage is applicable to each fare class.
