From all around the world there are iconic landmarks that everyone will recognize, but did you know that these landmarks can be found in completely different parts of the world? The Leaning Tower of Pisa of the Niles can also be found in Chicago! Or the Statue of Liberty can be seen in Norway. Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Leaning Tower of Pisa of the Niles is the famous leaning bell-tower found in Pisa, Italy. The tower leans at a five degree angle due to past uneven foundation. But not to worry, experts say that the tower is estimated to last another 200 years --or even forever! This is due to the fact that the tower is heavily maintained and refined thanks to the restoration project that was done to the tower.
A replica of the tower is located in Chicago, Illinois designed as part of a recreational park in 1934 and is only about half the size of the tower in Italy. The Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is a piece of architecture that is famous in New Delhi, India. This landmark is a beautifully designed ivory-white marble mausoleum built by the emperor Shah Jahan, as a tomb to house his wife and now serves as his tomb as well. Due to its incredible construction and gorgeous design, it has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered a "masterpiece of the world's heritage".

The Eiffel Tower stands at almost 900 feet and is lit up by nearly 5 billion lights, offering stunning views of the city and a romantic ambience. The strength of the design and overall construction landed its nickname as the “Iron Lady” and continues to be a landmark people travel to.

You’ll never guess that you’d find a replica of the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee! It is nearly an exact replica of the original with no two columns being the exact same size or placed the same distance apart. The Nashville Parthenon also serves as an art museum so if you’re ever in Nashville, you can check out this famous piece of architecture along with amazing art pieces.
Christ the King Statue
As seen in many movies, this statue of Jesus Christ stands in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at Mount Corcovado. The Catholic community is large in Brazil and this statue is meant to resemble a cross. The arms span at 92 feet while the statue stands at 98 feet. This statue is a major symbol of peace to the people.
You can also find this statue of Christ in Lisbon! Permission was granted to build this statue as a symbol of honour and gratitude to God for getting Portugal through WWII. Now tourists, and locals alike come to observe the spectacular view of the city on the deck of the monument.
Statue of Liberty
An iconic landmark in the United States, the Statue of Liberty is a sign of justice and freedom. It has welcomed many immigrants in New York for over 200 years. Now there are many replicas that have been made all around the world.
The replica of the Statue of Liberty in Norway is a bit unique compared to the dozens of other replicas around the world. This miniature statue is said to be home to the copper that supplied the Statue of Liberty that is standing in New York today. As a tribute, Norway created its own miniature version of the statue that stands in Visnes.
