Top Views in Spain
Beautiful blue sky, stretches of golden sand and gorgeous nature that leaves you in awe; Spain is stunning. But where is the best place to sip on your sangria and enjoy these spectacular views? Here is our Top 5 Views in Spain that you shouldn't miss.
# 1 Montserrat, near Barcelona
Monteserrat is a mountain range located outside Barcelona. It has a famous abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, and is one of the best day trips you can do from Barcelona. When it is sunny and hot in the city, the mountains can be misty, eerie and very atmospheric. Nevertheless, the view is amazing! Expect some of the best mountain views in Catalunya.
# 2 Granada, Andalucia
If you haven't been to Granada yet, you really should put it on your list. The city has intricate Medieval architecture which combined with the surrounding mountains makes for a jaw-dropping view. The Alhambra Palace is the jewel in Granada's crown, but be warned it's very busy with tourists in summer.
# 3 Playa de las Teresitas, Tenerife
The beach, Playa de las Teresitas, is not one of the popular tourist beaches on the island of Tenerife which makes it even better! This beach has golden sand, unlike some of the beaches in Tenerife that have black volcanic sand. Swim with the small fish in the atrificial reef, lie back and enjoy the view of the stunning island.
# 4 Valencia
Is natural beauty not your thing? What about some modern architecture?! The City of Arts and Sciences is one of the 12 Treasures of Spain, and is certainly breathtaking. Don't miss L'Hemisfèric, which turns into an open air club perfect for dancing the night away. Think palm trees, lounge seats and super cool DJs.
# 5 Barcelona
There are many things to admire about the city of Barcelona, but how better to do it than from the port cable car? You can enjoy not only the view of the city, but also the beach with the Transbordador Aeri del Port. The cable car goes above the water, so see if you can spot the jellyfish!
If cable cars are your thing and you're heading to Barcelona, you're in luck! There is also the Teleferico de Montjuïc taking you to the Montjuïc Castle, an old military fortress.
