Which Airline offers the most Legroom?
As paying customers, we will naturally opt for the best deals - the ones that are most worth our money. In the travel industry, one way of measuring this is finding out how much legroom each airline offers and going for the one that offers the most! After all, we would rather pay for a comfortable flight than one that isn’t, right?
As a treat, we have listed the standard seat pitch of the Economy Classes of popular airlines below for you!
Seat pitch VS legroom - what's the difference?
Seat pitch refers to the distance between the back of your seat and the back of the seat in front of you, effectively including the measurement of how thick your seat (and seat cushions) are, as well as your tray table.
Legroom in an aircraft is the distance from one point of your seat to the same point of the seat in front of you!
Hence, finding out your legroom is an easier indication of how much comfort you will have, as it translates to the amount of free space you will have between you and the traveller in front. This can be done by drawing inferences from the airline’s seat pitch - whereby typically the more seat pitch one offers, the more legroom you get to enjoy!

The tables only list the standard legroom that you get in Economy Class. So, feel free to upgrade your seats and enjoy (even) more legroom! These tables are based on the lowest standard legroom that you can have per airline. Airlines sometimes have different types of aircraft, which means that the standard legroom for a certain route can be higher than indicated in this table. No rights can be derived from this blog.
