Shakrain Festival (Mid January)

This festival is celebrated in Old Dhaka. This festival is actually a kite festival where many people gather around their rooftop and fly kites for an afternoon. Afterwards, during the evening, fireworks are lit and flame-eaters show their skills.

Dubla Rash Mela (November)

Dubla Rash Mela is the biggest fair of the country. At the center of the festival there are twenty thousand fishermen who are in charge of catching and drying fish on the island of Dubla.

Fair of Ashwin Sankranti (September or October)

This fair is a celebration of cheerfulness and life. The main attraction is a circus show where you can find jilapi, handcrafts, household items, puffed rice, jewelry and pottery.
