Khmer New Year (April)

The Khmer New Year is celebrated for 3 full days in the middle of April. This celebration is arguably the most popular festival and national holiday in Cambodia. People visit temples and celebrations are spread all over the country. Streets are also packed with people enjoying some time with friends and family while enjoying traditional games and dances.

Independence Day (November)

Cambodia's Independence Day is celebrated on the 9th of November. This day has been established to celebrate Cambodia's independence from france in 1953.

Victory Dat (January)

Victory Day in Cambodia is on the 7th of January and was established to commemorate the end of the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979. There are rememberance services for those who lost their lives during the period.

Apsara Dance Performances (May to August)

Aspara dance performances are performed on a regular basis in different locations in Siem Reap and Cambodia in general. It is an ancient style of dance and should be seen if you want to experience Cambodian culture.
