What to do in Kunming

Visit the Stone Forest

When anyone is visiting Kunming they need to make sure and visit the Stone Forest. It is a unique place that shows how erosion can make beautiful works of art. There are intricate stone formations all over the Stone Forest but if you would like to avoid the large touristy crowds then Naigu Stone Forest is a great area to head to. Heading there in the months of September to November you can see the tickseed flower blossom all throughout the park.

Diachi Lake

Covering an area of more than 300 square kilometers the crescent-shaped lake is surrounded by hills with Jinma Hill in the East, Biji Hill in the West, Baihe Hill in the South, and Sheshan Hill in the North.
