Munich Carnival (February)

This carnival is three crazy days of festivities and parades. During the festival, candy and flowers are thrown out to crowds and the festivities always end on Ash Wednesday.

Dult Festival (April/July/October)

To really experience Bavarian culture, you need to visit this festival. It takes place three times a year and it is held in Mariahilfplatz, which is a great place to take a walk and have something to eat. The 'Dult' offers rides, food and fun for everyone.

Oktoberfest (October)

Oktoberfest is beloved by locals and travelers. It is a festive time that celebrates several occasions all at once. If you do want to attend the festivities make sure to get there with public transport and not by car.

Winterfestival Christmas Market (November to December)

Germany is well known for its Christmas markets. Munich is no exception. These Christmas markets start in November and last for a month.
