How do I search for a one-way or a multiple cities itinerary; First, Business, or Premium Economy class options?

You can select your preferred itinerary, Booking Class and/or Carrier Preference options by using the options available within the search box area.

What software or browsers do I need to access the Website?

CheapTickets.sg supports the following browsers:

  • Mozilla FireFox 2.x or higher
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0, 6.0 (SP1) for Windows
  • Safari (Mac and PC) 3.1x (2.x minimum)
  • AOL 9.0 (AOL 7.0 minimum)
  • Netscape Navigator/Communicator 8.x (7.1x minimum)

In addition, for our map feature to be viewed, you will need Adobe Flash player.

  • Web users must download and install the player in order to view and interact with Flash content. This is a free download. To download Adobe Flash, click here.

How do I book an air ticket on CheapTickets.sg?

Begin your flight search from the CheapTickets.sg Homepage by filling in the required fields in the search area of the home page.

You may change your city and/or date selections at anytime prior to hitting the "Search" button.

Can I make air reservations by phone?

Yes! Our international air experts are here to help! If you need support completing a new or online booking, or have an immediate need with an existing booking, give us a call at +852 8127 7526 (Additional fees may apply for bookings completed with the assistance of our Customer Service Representatives.)

Do you offer Infant, Children, Unaccompanied Minor, Companion, Student, Military, Government, or Senior air fares?

Children, and infant, fares can be booked on CheapTickets.sg. Unaccompanied children under the age of 18, Student, Senior, Companion, Military, and Government fares are not offered through CheapTickets.sg. If you require one of those options, it will be necessary for you to contact the airline directly for information and booking those passenger types.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my infant when flying internationally?

If you are traveling with an infant (a child less than 24 months of age for the duration of the trip) in your lap, a ticket must be purchased.

Most airlines allow infants under the age of 24 months, at the time of originating departure, to travel on the lap of an adult passenger. Only one infant is allowed to travel per adult when not occupying a seat. Generally the fare for an infant not occupying a seat is 10% of the base fare paid by the accompanying adult plus applicable taxes and fees.

Please note:

  • If an infant becomes two years of age during the trip, some airlines require charging the applicable child fare on all flights following the date when the infant became two. When applicable half the fare will be charged at the infant rate and half at the child rate. When this occurs, the child will be assigned a seat for the segments where the child fare applies.

  • In some rare cases, if the infant becomes two years of age during the trip, the full child fare will be charged and a seat will be assigned for the entire trip.

  • No more that 2 infants can be held per row of seats.

  • A passport is required for infants traveling to foreign destinations.

  • Some airlines will provide a bassinet for infants. These may not be available on all flights and must be arranged directly with the airline.

How to book ticket to people who has only one name on the passport?

If passenger has only one name (no surname or given name) in the travel document (eg. passport), please contact our Customer Service Center at +852 8127 7526 or email to [email protected] for an offline booking.

Note: Ticket and your travel document all must in the same name.

Why did the fare change when I went to complete my purchase?

Airfares change throughout the day based on demand for the flight and availability. Occasionally the fare change is the result of a technical issue.

CheapTickets.sg makes every effort to have our fare displays be as current as possible. To ensure you get the fare and schedule you select, we encourage you to complete your purchase as soon as possible.

Please Note: Airline fares CANNOT be guaranteed until the credit card submitted for payment has been charged and the ticket(s) issued. CheapTickets.sg is not responsible for any fare increase as a result of delays in ticket issuance.

How close to departure / far in advance can I book my ticket?

Advance Purchase:
Air tickets can be booked online up to 330 days in advance of departure. Reservations for flight departures beyond 330 days are restricted by the airlines.

Close-in Purchase:
Flights and tickets booked with CheapTickets cannot be completed less than four (4) days PRIOR to scheduled departure.

What is the maximum number of travellers per booking?

You may book up to 6 travellers per reservation. If there are more than 6 travellers, you will need to make a second booking or call us at +65 3158 2693 and speak with a CheapTickets Customer Care Associate who will be happy to assist you with your request.

Can I book group travel?

We do not provide for Group Travel bookings at this time.

What is an airline codeshare?

Codeshare flights are flights operated by more than one airline using the same aircraft. These flights bear the name and flight number of each airline operating the flight.

Airlines often codeshare on routes so they can offer customers service on all flight segments of their itinerary even if they do not actually fly their own aircraft on one or more flights in the itinerary.

Can my pet travel with me?

Your pets may be able to travel with you on your flights. However, as rules, fares, and procedures regarding the transportation of animals in the passenger and cargo section of the aircraft vary from airline to airline. CheapTickets cannot process air reservation requests for pets. Please contact the airline directly for assistance after you complete your booking. In most cases, if the airline does accept a pet, there will be a charge for the service.

Can I make a reservation for someone else?

Yes! You may make a reservation for someone else. Be sure to enter the name of the actual traveller(s) when completing the booking.

Can I make reservations that originate outside of Singapore?

Yes. Your travel can originate anywhere in the world. The only requirement is that the credit card used for the purchase of the booking must be valid and issued by American Express, Visa or MasterCard.

Can I redeem frequent flyer miles on CheapTickets.sg?

The redemption of accumulated Frequent Flyer miles in exchange for upgrades or free tickets must be handled directly by the airline for which the Frequent Flyer program applies. Please contact each airline directly for specific rules.

Will my itinerary qualify for frequent flyer mileage accumulation?

In most cases you will qualify for the accumulation of Frequent Flyer miles for your flights purchased through CheapTickets.sg. Some special fares may be restricted, by the airline, from earning Frequent Flyer miles. To determine what booking class(es) apply to the itinerary you are interested in selecting, click on the "Fare Details" button directly under the itinerary. Under the "Detailed Fare Information" section, you will see flight details. On the far right of this section is a list of "Fare Basis Codes". The first letter of each fare basis code represents the booking class for that flight segment. NOTE: The booking codes will NOT be available in association with any "CheapTickets.sg special fares".

  • If you already have a Frequent Flyer account established, remember to enter the information when completing your booking. By doing so, your Frequent Flyer information will be automatically entered into your reservation when you complete your booking.
  • If you did not enter your Frequent Flyer information at the time of booking please give us a call at +65 3138 9161 or send an email to [email protected] and we will enter your numbers into your record.

What currency are prices quoted in?

CheapTickets has the ability to show fares from around the world priced in multiple currencies. All fares will be clearly marked with their associated currency. The majority of fares shown on Cheaptickets.sg will be in Singapore Dollars (SGD). However, always check the currency code next to the displayed prices carefully.

Can I request a paper ticket rather than an e-ticket?

Due to changes in the airline industry, CheapTickets no longer issues paper tickets. Only electronic tickets are issued.

What if the fare for the ticket(s) I purchased goes down before I leave?

Airline fares fluctuate up and down constantly. Once your airline tickets are purchased and issued, CheapTickets locks in the fare and will not charge additionally if the fare should go up following purchase. Conversely, if the fare should go down following purchase CheapTickets will NOT provide a refund for the difference between the original fare paid and the lower fare found after ticket issuance.
